In a digital age like this, technology integration in the classroom must be thoughtful and seamless. What becomes an issue is providing enough tools to enable such a strategy. As I brainstorm for different integration strategies at the beginning of each year, I always find myself wishing for iPads that help with small group instruction. Students in a kindergarten classroom can benefit from small group sessions where each student has access to an iPad that guides them through letter sounds and letter names, just to name a few! These iPads will not only allow students to learn through "app-effective" inquiries, they will also be on their own guided discoveries at a pace tailored specifically to them. My classroom isn't yet at the level technologically to meet our needs as learners, but this project will help close that gap.
