During guided reading. Independent reading, and shared text, my students will be more inclined to read, if they see a full library with books on their levels. Some of my students don’t have books at home. This classroom library will give them the opportunity to read at school and home. Having a classroom library with leveled books will help my students with decoding, and phonemic awareness skills. As the classroom teacher of 12 special needs children, I will be able to assign each student to the appropriate book based on their levels. As of now our classroom library is made up of books leveled N and up, it is a waste of space. My student read on a A through H level as of now.
