Our students are working through various socialization difficulties. We are striving to build an outdoor space that will promote positive interactions and deepen their friendships. By having various seating options we hope to give them space to relax and feel more at home. Once they are able to raise their comfort level in our school setting we are then able to delve deeper into our social emotional programing. The benches and swing will bring a feeling of home into our classroom. Many of our students have been isolated for extended periods of time due to their struggles. Having a gaming table will allow us to create socialization opportunities between classmates. A gaming table will give students an activity to laugh and focus on while alleviating some of their social anxiety.

About my class
