I chose to include bean bag chairs, floor cushions and portable lap desks to help my students improve their reading skills and to make learning more fun. I want to encourage students to explore new places and ideas through their reading and writing. By using flexible seating, students will be allowed to learn in a more relaxed style. The bean bag chairs will let the students read in a comfortable manner giving their imagination the opportunity to soar. The lap desks will allow students to move around yet continue to work on projects. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
