I teach in a first grade dual-immersion classroom where the language of instruction is Spanish. All my students are considered socioeconomically disadvantaged and over forty percent of students in the school district are classified as homeless. My classroom is a fascinating, fun, and joyous mix of hilarious personalities and head-scratching characters. My goal is to give these students the best educational experience I am capable of giving. I strive everyday for my students to be happy, good, empathetic individuals who have a sense of agency and power over their own lives.

About my class
