I am requesting TI-Inspire Graphing Calculators for my students. Students with learning disabilities benefit from the use of technology on a daily basis. By having these calculators in the classroom, students will be able to check their answers when solving for a variable in multi-step equations, solving systems of equations and when needing to visualize a graphed solution. It is amazing to watch a student's excitement once they have persevered through a tough math problem and realize they have solved the problem correctly. The sense of accomplishment that rushes over them is clearly seen in their eyes and smile. These calculators will also benefit those students who struggle with memorizing multiple steps. Being able to hold a tool that can assist them step-by-step allows students to be as successful as their peers.
