Springfield Honors Academy develops the intellectual curiosity and emotional maturity of every member of its student body. We are committed to providing our students a safe environment in which they can advance their studentship and realize their greatest potential. To that end, our students will gain admission into, find success within, and ultimately graduate from competitive four-year colleges, ready to achieve and contribute greatly to the world in which they live. My goal is to share my love of reading and literature with my students by reading books that aren't on the required reading list but are award-winning young adult novels while encouraging students to try writing their own. We create an atmosphere where reading feels daring and their imaginations are allowed to take a break from the stresses of everyday life.
