My first grade students thrive in an environment where there is a wide variety in instructional strategies and learning experiences. We do not have any student devices in our classroom and could benefit from having even just a few iPads. My students can engage more fully in my daily math instruction as well as in literacy centers with having devices in our classroom. Having technology that is readily accessible to my students will provide them with so many more opportunities to access books in different formats. Students in first grade need variety in their learning. Technology in a school is vital to their learning and growing. With iPads in our classroom, the opportunities are limitless.
