Having an organized desk space is essential for both teachers and students. Considering where a kindergartener is on a developmental level, they need extra guidance and accessible resources to assist with taking care of their school belongings. My students are noticeably more engaged in activities when they have the tools to help them transition safely, smoothly, and effectively. The chair pockets I have selected will not only help my students with organization but with transitioning between activities. Currently, each student has a storage bin with desk items located on a shelf away from their desk. This slows down the transition time between activities and can create "high traffic" spots when a handful of learners migrate to grab materials. Having a set of chair pockets will enable students to be more productive with time and space while also promoting safe social distancing during these unique times.
