My ASB students are motivated to make a positive impact on the entire student body. As a new ASB advisor I am determined to help them spread kindness, encourage empathy, and dig deep to succeed. The supplies I am asking for will help ASB students promote positive and inspiring vibes throughout campus. A Cricut machine and accessory pack will help students create messages out of vinyl to stick on the hallyways, make tags, cards, certificates, and more. The inspirational decals will be displayed in high traffic areas to serve a reminder for all students that they are amazing. The Polaroid camera will allow ASB students to document their journey this year, as well as an opportunity to give the entire student body a memory of a special moment like having fun, laughing, cheering for one another, working diligently on a project, and more! The markers, lanyards, glue, paper cutter, and scissors will be useful for making promotional fliers and posters for school to community outreach projects like Adopt A Family and The Children's Hospital Teddy Bear Drive. My students want to make their school the best it can be! My students realize that a smile or a simple "hello" can make a tremendous impact for a child who may go the entire day without being noticed. ASB wants to develop a friendly environment where students will feel comfortable, and as a result, feel more confident in peer to peer interactions. I am also a 6th grade English Language Arts teacher. My students are hungry for engaging books at various reading levels. Throughout the years, books get worn out. I have thoughtfully chosen each of the books listed with my students in mind. They will love these new titles!
