The students at our school are a true representation of the world we live in. With over Sixty language spoken at our students homes and just as many countries represented in our students cultural makeup, you can say we are one of the most diverse learning communities in the City of Chicago and dare I say the country. My students need to feel supported, appreciated and most of all represented in their school and studies. The brand new supplies and centers will help transform my students into motivated young learners. The Learning centers will help differentiate the Mathematics curriculum to support all students in my classroom. The centers and headphones will allow students that are non-readers or non-english readers to manipulate and work through our Math curriculum as their literacy in English evolves. No students should be hindered solely because the Mathematics is presented in a form they have not mastered yet.
