Our classroom is full of love and support for a population of students who steal my heart everyday! Each child in our classroom is unique, each one with different abilities that make them special. In our classroom, we provide a safe, nurturing and inspiring setting for students with significant cognitive disabilities where we strive to teach them to be as independent as possible. Some important skills we work on daily are communication, daily living and adapted academics to fit their needs. Our students are full of joy and deserve to be given the opportunity to grow and learn from their peers and environment, as well as the opportunity to teach others about the importance of loving one another for who they are, regardless of ability. We are all human, each one worthy of opportunity and respect and we feel honored to have a classroom that helps supports and nurtured these little humans.
