Many of my students cannot speak and/or write to demonstrate their understanding of new materials they are learning. My students are yearning to show they understand of new materials and skills. By created individualized and differentiated work tasks, my students are able to show their understanding while gaining independence by completing the activities independently. The activities are printed on card stock and laminated with Velcro pieces to have matching answers . Activities include Mathematics, English language arts, life skills, science, social studies, behavior expectations and other items related to their individualized educational plan. By allowing students to show their work without assistance, students are not only showing their level of understanding but gaining the skill to work independently.
