My students come to school ready to learn and succeed, but traditional desks and chairs make it difficult to keep my students comfortable and focused. Studies have shown that students learn more efficiently if they're allowed to move about and be physically active. I would love to have these requested Wobble Cushions, a Balance Ball Chair, a Big Joe Bean Bag, a coffee table, end tables, and an area rug so that my students have the option of choosing the seat that best fits them! These flexible seating options will give my students the opportunity to sit comfortably and remain engaged during lessons. I selected seats that will allow my students to wiggle about without distracting others or themselves. With this variety of seating options, my students will be able to kneel, sit, or stand while I am delivering instruction or while they are working independently. This project will significantly help my students remain engaged during the school day. These options will also help my classroom feel more like home, which will make my students more comfortable. I'm so excited to see the results after I am able to implement flexible seating in my classroom!
