Using the Sphero robot, students will engage in a multi-faceted project. Students will design a track of their own for the Sphero to successfully navigate around, practicing and utilizing their measurement and geometry skills, small group collaboration, and analytical skill sets . There will be a literacy component aligned where students will research the importance of robotics highlighting the history and future of the technology. Students will submit a final report showing their research and the results of their Sphero's track navigation. The group will collect data on all of the steps of the lab activity. Students will be expected to keep precise measurements with respect to distance, time, degrees of travel, and trial results.
