My students will use the foundational textbook on the principles of computer science as a guide to learn coding and the basics of computing. The logics the students learn in algebra are similar to coding. The students already have access to laptops. We will be using online resources to do coding projects. I will be using the projector to show samples for students to follow and also for the students to demonstrate their learning to the class. By introducing the basics of coding in my algebra class, they are able to draw a connection between learning algebra and preparing for success in future jobs.
