TIME For Kids will provide my students with high interest informational text. Reading and discussing current events will enhance my students' understanding of the world they live in. Students will have the opportunity to experience diversity and other cultures. They will learn compassion and empathy for others. Students will be able to practice reading strategies as well as learning to care about the world and the people in it. In today's culture of social media, students need a reputable source of truthful news. As a teacher I have the responsibility of providing students with the proper tools to insure they are exposed to accurate news. My students will be well informed citizens by reading TIME For Kids.
