I am requesting chrome books to help my students become well rounded individuals that can use different technology to help them achieve their needs. With the Chromebook they will be able to learn how to become researchers, skilled readers, and build mathematical fluency by using different websites that provide them with the help they need. Most of my students do not own a computer at home, and the only time they have access to a computer is at school. Technology is an important concept they need to learn how to use especially because it is growing throughout the years the Chromebooks will give them that ability to learn to use technology as an innovative way to learn. I am also requesting a document camera because my students enjoy participating and showing their classmates their work. Having a document camera in the classroom will allow my students to become presenters, and students will be able to share their work to the whole class. By having this tool as a way to present will also help them build their public speaking which is a great quality to begin practicing for their future education.
