I am requesting 12 ball chairs for my students. While much of the day students need to be sitting at a workspace, they still need the chance to move. Studies have shown that the ability to move around while learning increases students' attentiveness. According to livestrong.com, Students that sit on stability balls have both sides of their brains engaged when keeping their bodies centered on the balls. When the brain is stimulated, my students are more focused on learning. Sitting on stability balls has also been shown to constantly engage the core muscles and improve balance and stability. Having these ball chairs will provide flexible seating options for my students, who will be able to choose a ball or regular chair for their purposes. This project will support students in my class for years to come. Thank you in advance for considering this project!
