These class sets of books will be used to help my students learn more about other people and develop empathy as they learn to think critically about issues related to race, religion, and immigration statues. I only need 7 copies of Hidden Figures because I was able to purchase the other copies before the tornado and they weren't destroyed. The books will not only be used this year in my Critical Thinking class, but will also be shared among the other teachers in my school for years to come. The book we are currently reading is "I am Malala" the student edition, so you can see that this year is all about social issues.
