Our class is lucky enough to have an iPad for each student. Many of the apps we use require sound. Not everyone has the luxury of providing their own set of headphones or listening devices. Headphones will provide that enhanced learning experience so my students can use the apps on the iPads to their full capability. If everyone has the sound up on their apps then no one is learning. The distractions are too great. We use three apps daily in class: Core5, iReady and Reflex Math. These programs all have sound. Headphones will ensure my students are getting the most from these programs, without the frustration of having to try to concentrate while noise is all around them.
