I teach 7th grade Language Arts, Language Arts Support ( focuses on students who struggle with Language Arts) and Social Studies in a STEM middle school in Hawthorne, California.We are a Title One school where 92% of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch. These students live in a low-income, high poverty neighborhood. Student demographics at our school are diverse, with a make-up of 60% Hispanic, 30% African American, and 10% other races. These students live in a low-income, high poverty neighborhood. My goal is to provide my students with a safe and encouraging environment at school where they can thrive and learn using technology as a tool. These students are smart, eager and enthusiastic to learn and become successful.
