My students want to spend less time with their nose in their science books and more time doing science. One thing that keeps bringing them back to their textbook is the Periodic Table. When my students ask me for the mass of carbon, the spelling of praseodymium, or how many electrons are in fluorine, I tell them to look in their book. They then endure the tedious and repetitive process of turning to page 166 where they can find the Periodic Table. My students end up wasting lots of learning time flipping pages in their books for what should be a quick reference. When they find the Periodic Table, they are looking at the 1996 version, which is missing 9 elements and lists another 6 without names. My students can save lots of precious learning time with a Periodic Table poster for quick reference. Please help my students spend more time engaged in learning. An Periodic Table displayed on our classroom wall is just what our students need.
