Our learning community is located in a diverse, high poverty, urban city in Illinois. A high percentage of the students are bilingual, with English being their second language. All students are increasing their English language acquisition skills as well as improving their reading skills at a rapid rate. Our middle school is working diligently in order to meet the state's academic expectations.
