I am a Spanish Immersion teacher for first graders. Since we are learning Spanish in Spanish, and as the teacher I'm not speaking English at all, I really need to make sure that my students can hear me and that they can hear their own powerful voices every day, all day long. When you are 6 years old, there is nothing cooler than hearing your own voice through a speaker system. However, our students can be very shy. Learning a second language in an immersion setting can be intimidating! With the use of technology, I believe my students will feel amazing and powerful every time they can hear their own voices blasted through a speaker and celebrated. We will be able to make presentations, do classroom calendar and jobs, read together, share stories, play games, and perform, and when we can all hear each other clearly we will be rockstars in Spanish. I am requesting a rechargeable portable PA system as well as a speaker stand and wireless microphone.
