Organization is often a weakness, especially in middle school. In order for my students to remain organized, student mailboxes would be ideal in giving each of my students a space where they can keep their notebooks and pencils so that they do not have to worry about having these items for class. Students often miss out on important instruction when they have to return to their lockers for these materials during class time. This lost instruction time impacts their understanding and overall learning, which can greatly affect them as the year continues. Knowing their materials are in my classroom will help them to feel prepared to learn each day.
