I teach at many different schools during the day! I begin my mornings at Newcomer Academy teaching students beginning music using recorders. We just received these recorders through Donors Choose and are extremely grateful. The students being taught are all children who are new to the country and are new to American school systems. My main classroom is at Iroquois High School where I teach high school orchestra. We work with what we have in order to make the best sounding music we can. Our group can't always afford a lot so we try our best fundraising year round in order to pay for buses for field trips, music, rosin, and general music needs. After my high school I travel to one of two elementary schools where I teach 5th grade students how to play the violin. The goal for these students it to help prepare them for being in orchestra in 6th grade.
