My students need 60 subscriptions to Storyworks magazine to help improve their understanding of non-fiction materials. We will use the Storyworks magazine in small groups and whole group lessons. Students will read and have group discussions on current events. Storyworks will help them find details allowing them to apply it to other subjects, such as science and social studies. Donations to our Storyworks project will allow students to be able to read current events and improve the reading comprehension levels of all students in my class. My students will feel more confident in their reading abilities and become more aware of current events.
