Last year, I was able to offer my students a few different types of seating in my classroom, by finding some "hand me down" options. I was also able to purchase some standing desks. The one area of seating options I am not able to offer is floor seating. These chairs and floor table would be the ideal addition to our classroom. This way I would have many different options for students to try. With students exploring seating options, they can start to be self aware of where they work best. I always encourage my students to pick a seat where they can show me their best work. They need to find a place where they can focus and learn the math topic of the day. Some students like to stand, others like traditional desk seats, and some will work best while sitting on the floor. With the funding of this project, I will be able to provide all of the options the students might need to be successful!
