The bean bag chairs and accents will create an inviting and inspirational area for students to relax with a good book. Encouraging children to read, especially struggling readers and ENL students, can be a difficult task. By providing a comfortable, colorful, and cozy environment, I hope to inspire students to want to read and spend time in the reading area. In addition to motivating my students to read, it is also important for me to provide them with a space that is all theirs. Being that many of my students come from low income families and even other countries, many of them do not have a room or space of their own. This reading area will allow them to read, but more importantly, will be a spot to feel safe and comfortable.
