My students need seven Gaian Stay-N-Play Balance Balls for their small group work. Our stations are 40 minutes each and students rotate three times. This time can get to be very long! My class loves to wiggle! "They moment my legs begin to move, my thoughts begin to flow." [Thoreau]. In our class we strive to use movement as much as we can throughout the day. With exercise breaks, Whole Brain Teaching, turn and talks, and more our class uses every part of our body to learn and grow. The balance balls will change the way our class learns in Reading Rotations and Math! Students will be able to move their body while the read, write, discuss, and interact with the books in our curriculum. Students will also be able to move and work while they build their skills in Math small groups.
