I am asking for a square, red Endurance Classroom area rug for my reading corner. This will help designate the space as special and make the room look warmer and more inviting. It is currently all blue and white tile with some gray mats on the floor. I am also asking for three Big Beanbag Seats to give my students a comfortable, inviting space in which to read and collaborate. Research shows that students' brains and bodies benefit when they are able to change levels and positions throughout the day. Sitting someplace comfortable and colorful while reading can help them learn and enjoy while they read. My kids are energetic and enthusiastic, and are at their most engaged when they can move around and change positions once in a while. Providing my students with a beautiful, comfortable reading corner will be a critical step on their road to literacy. Thank you in advance for helping me make my classroom warmer, more inviting, and more joyful! I look forward to seeing their faces when we give the room a much needed makeover together.
