Do you remember that one book, that one story, that one text that you just couldn't put down? How about the moment where a book made you not just cry, but sob, or laugh that deep-down belly laughs, maybe even worked up a fury of anger for the character you just wanted to scream! That is the passion I can't wait to ignite in my students. The only problem? We need books! I am asking for grade level appropriate books for individual student reading time, as well as small group reading lessons. Many of these titles are on the SSYRA book list for this year for Grades 3-5. Others are favorites to use in small group novel studies to make reading connections. Can you help?
