Students learn best through play. These books and materials will encourage students to learn through social skills, without them even knowing they are actually learning. Play is THE major emphasis in my classroom, and these materials will help facilitate learning, while having fun. Research shows that having hands-on materials, such as Magna Tiles, Architect Design Blocks, and Alphabet Folders really gets students ready for Kindergarten. Art materials such as the different size paint brushes, paint cups, and design rollers allows the students to enjoy art and crafts while truly expressing themselves. My goal is to get the whole child ready for kindergarten, no matter the different struggles they face. I will use every opportunity we have to teach my students, and having new materials to work with will keep my students' attention and focus throughout the school year.
