My students will use the HP Chromebook Laptops as part of extending their learning within the classroom. In fourth grade, the students are given time to work individually on projects. This allows students to choose projects to explore that excite and engage them. With the limited access to computers and the large class size, having 5 HP Chromebook Laptops readily available in our classroom will make a HUGE difference in their ability to explore and create. I have great students, and would love to provide a computer to allow frequent access within my classroom to help increase the learning. Students will also be able to meet as small groups to collectively share stories, ideas, and constructive criticism through google docs. Not only will their writing skills be improved, but also their ability to work with others. In the 21st century, collaboration is crucial. My students would be collaborating every day with these extra resources. My students will learn to feed off the excitement of others as they improve their own pieces and extend their own learning.
