My students will use the HP Chromebook Laptops as part of extending their learning within the classroom. In fourth grade, the students participate in a "genius hour". This allows students to choose projects to explore that excite and engage them. Because we have limited access to computers within our classroom and school, having 5 HP Chromebook Laptops readily available in our classroom will make a HUGE difference in their ability to explore and create. I would love to be able to provide a computer to allow frequent access within my classroom for students to extend their learning everyday. Students will also be able to meet as small groups to collectively share stories, ideas, and constructive criticism through Google docs. Not only will their writing skills be improved, but also their ability to work with others. My students will learn to feed off the excitement of others as they improve their own pieces and extend their own learning.
