"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." -Benjamin Franklin I facilitate learning by involving students in the process, in order to provide my students with an authentic learning opportunity. My goal is to obtain 80 sheep brains for exploratory dissection. This will allow for greater understanding of anatomy and physiology. Students will identify key structures in the sheep's brain, and use it to compare to the human's brain. It will be a memorable experience to give them a "bird's eye" view of how intricate an organism is designed. Students will make a connection of how the systems work together to maintain a balance. This will allow me to foster a desire for learning and love of science and discovery.
