Students with Autism require visuals to process and learn new information. Our current classroom consists of 12 students with Autism that are all on a modified curriculum. A modified curriculum provides tons of visuals for students with Autism and has been proven to increase overall learning gains. The use of a modified curriculum requires the printing, copying and scanning of many materials in order to be effective. Via the use of this all in one printer and it's required accessories for use (drum unit and toner), I will be able to provide my students with the necessary visuals, copies, and curriculum work associated with an effective modified curriculum from the inside of my own classroom. This printer would also eliminate the need to walk to the school office on a daily basis to make copies. In turn, this will provide me with more instructional time for my students.
