Every morning, our advisory starts with reading for 20 minutes. My advisees have picked books they want to read and have access to in our classroom. This is my first year in this school, which means my book shelves are empty! I want nothing more than to provide for my 17 freshmen girls books that they will actively engage in. Every book on the list was chosen by one of my students as something they want to read or was chosen by me as a book I want to share with them. Some books are so popular with my students that I am asking for multiple copies to get them into has many hands possibly as quickly as possible. Giving time and access to students for choice reading is an essential part of our advisory structure. Help me get the books my students are asking for.
