Our students, like many others around the nation, have had their school year cut short due to the COVID-19 crisis. These students have worked diligently to continue meeting state academic standards, as well as continuing to grow into great human beings. Through distance learning, we have still been able to connect with our students and their families. By filling these bags with fun goodies like bubble wands, sunglasses, frisbees, etc. we hope to give our students something to commemorate our year together, as we were unable to do so together. These bags will enable students to have a safe, healthy, and fun summer with their families. This supports their learning of the social-emotional curriculum we have worked through at school. Students have been working to build relationships with family members, be good role-models, and have been building empathy for members within the home.

About my class
