Students will be offered a variety of books such as "Among The Hidden" and "Maniac Magee" to choose from to promote increased reading throughout the year. By increasing their interest in reading, their fluency and comprehension skills will improve as well. Students must be able to read and comprehend well to do well in all of their subjects. You read about history, you read word problems in math, you read in science. Reading is everywhere and I want to give my students the best opportunity to excel in reading. The students will be able to access these books anytime in the classroom and the more choices they have, the more likely they will be excited and willing to read.
