These materials will be used during our literacy center times. My students will be able to use these, independently or with a partner, to help enforce skills and concepts already taught. My students will also gain more confidence as they have fun learning more about the skill. Being a new teacher to second grade, my classroom doesn't have many second grade center activities, yet, and having this project funded will greatly help with this! We all know that kids, of all ages, love to play! And, having centers is a great way to do this while, at the same time, learn and build a stronger knowledge of skills/concepts. The materials and supplies I am asking for are literacy based. These will help with skills and concepts such as sight word reading, vocabulary word learning, and making and reading decodable words.
