Every day you walk into my room and students are working all over the room. Students are laying on the floor playing games to build fluency, phonics, and reading stamina. Students are laying on the floor researching different topics using the technology in our room. They are snuggled up in the "big comfy" chair in the reading corner or on the big pillow reading with a friend. They are sitting at tables or laying on the floor writing about their day, friends, family, and experiences. Everywhere you look, there are students working hard to become great readers and writers. I want my students to have comfortable options to sit around the room. When they are reading, writing, and even working on technology, they need to be comfortable to stay focused. I want my students to have a variety of options to sit on while working independently to build skills. Shaggy pillowcase and pillows and stability Wobble Cushions will allow my students to snuggle up and read, write, or play literacy games. My students love to lay and sit on the floor as they are working these two options would give students a comfortable seat while working on the floor. Seats and desks with a flat service will allow students to use technology or have a hard surface to read or write. Stools will help my writing center to be more welcoming as students work to be creative thinkers and writers. Bucket rockers will allow comfortable space to read and rock to help those students who like to rock while they are reading and writing.
