Children are naturally creative and learn through exploring their world. In order to develop the critical thinking and problem solving skills imperative to success in school and in life, children MUST be provided with opportunities to try new things, make mistakes, and try again until they find what works. I hope to facilitate this growth by giving my little learners a variety of materials like building block magnets and marble runs to play with, create with, and explore. We will use these materials for free independent exploration and team building activities. We will also use them for specific STEM challenges each month, so students can compare different ways to solve the same problems.

About my class
