By giving them choices in seating, we can give them an outlet for their sensory needs with a wiggle chair or just a soft cushion. With the power of a simple choice, a student is motivated by owning his learning. Readers are engaged when they share the experience with a friend. By having more seats around the room, the students can work in pairs and engage in important reading practice.
