My idea for this project is to makeover our current Makerspace area in the room. We need tools that would make building and creating a bit easier. These materials, tools, and supplies, will give my students opportunities to create within the classroom. In our class, student have freedom to choose what products they want to create to demonstrate their learning. Our classroom utilizes Genius Hour to give students opportunities each day to learn about what they are passionate about, these tools and materials will help students be able to take these passion projects further by allowing them to bring their ideas to life. Each year students are required to complete projects for their gifted and talented program. Students can choose from projects that allow them to design new spaces, design projects for Mars colonization, plan road trips across Texas, solve crisis among our resources. These tools will help them create prototypes for these projects.
