Mirrors are a necessity for self-portraits. I would like to have them available (in addition to a photograph of themselves) to create a drawing and painting of themselves. This year, I am incorporating as many positive self-image aspects into each lesson I teach. It has been especially tough this year post-isolation due to the pandemic and so many students are struggling with their emotions. This is one way to encourage self-love and appreciation. In this lesson, I will also ask students to identify at least 3 things they love about themselves.
