Every year, I take time to read the novel, "Number the Stars". I love to see the children's minds process the courageous decisions made by the characters in the book and begin to understand empathy as it applies to the storyline and beyond. Our books are old and well used. These students deserve books that they can hold and learn from, without fear of them falling apart. New books would mean that I could continue to teach these students the great messages from the pages of this book as we cannot afford to replace them ourselves without some help from you!
