I work at a Title I school. Many of my students' families have limited resources to get color, and text, rich books to read at home. Beautifully illustrated books are very important to pull students into reading. Printing books and texts from Reading A-Z on a color printer would allow students to have their own library when they go home at the end of the day. When kindergarteners first learn to read, they rely heavily on illustrations. Colorful illustrations in the students' "take home books" would enhance and support their reading outside of school. I would love to provide my students with color-rich prints to enrich their reading experiences at home, as well as in the classroom.
