Many of my students struggle to focus while doing their work. It is distracting and takes away from valuable teaching time to redirect these students. I'm hoping that with these alternative seating options, these students will be able to better pay attention and therefore, increase their learning. They are such smart kids, I want to help them focus. Being comfortable is a priority and if they feel they cannot sit still or be comfortable with their current seating, I want them to have options. I plan to use them at my small group table and, on days I see a student really struggling with their attention, they will have the option to use them at their table. I believe this alternative seating can truly increase the learning opportunities in my classroom. I am requesting wobble cushions and ball chairs.
